“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” – Carl Rogers

I have a number of decades behind me & I’ve done some living — some of it easy and some of it hard. There has been joy along the way, but I have also experienced some tough challenges.

I’ve been a Merchant Marine, an actor, a bartender, a voice actor, an adjunct professor, a janitor & a real estate Title Officer. I’ve had a number of careers & worked a bunch of jobs. I have re-invented myself a couple of times over. I’ve kicked addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, & other substances. I’ve battled severe anxiety & depression and I’ve faced cancer. I’ve been through breakups & divorce and have also found love.  Yeah, I’ve hit some walls, mentally, physically, emotionally & spiritually. Some   serious & some not. The important thing is I’ve found my way through every time. I have transformed my life into one filled with health, serenity &  love.

And now, I help other people do the same & that’s what this coaching thing is all about -Transformation into the next chapter of life. Whatever that may be.  My coaching is built on a foundation of real-life experiences, challenges & personal triumphs that have shaped my life & informed my approach to coaching.

I hold two Master’s degress from New York University, one in Speech & Interpersonal Communication and another in Education. I taught at NYU as an adjunct profesor in the Communication Department for over a decade. Additionally, I am a Master Certified Professional Coach & a Certified Sobriety Coach. I have also completed Eckhart Tolle’s “Teacher of Presence” training.

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions. – Dalai Lama
